When Fashion Meets Heritage: Maison Georges Hobeika's Ode to Ancient Marvels at Baalbek

In a spectacular fusion of fashion, history, and philanthropy,  Georges Hobeika took a daring step into the ancient world, gracing the revered Temple of Baalbek with its Spring-Summer 2024 Ready-to-Wear collection. The event marked a historic moment, as Maison Georges Hobeika became the first fashion house to showcase its creations within the hallowed walls of this UNESCO World Heritage site, rekindling the spirit of an ancient era in a contemporary fashion narrative.

At the heart of the Spring-Summer 2024 collection lies a tribute to Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty in Greek mythology. Drawing inspiration from the iconic "Birth of Venus" by Botticelli, Maison Georges Hobeika weaves a narrative of romance, grace, and emotion. Delicate fabrics, intricately draped silhouettes, and subtle color palettes mirror the goddess's emergence from the waves, creating a poetic visual symphony

The collection showcases a meticulous interplay of fabrics, incorporating denim, crepe, and georgette. Printed mousseline, adorned with imagery of ancient columns, birds, fish, butterflies, and various natural elements, captures the essence of an Ancient Greek sunset. Pearls, seashells, vine leaves, and rushes become motifs, echoing mythological tales. Lace, both bespoke and inspired by antique rattan chairs, adds depth and texture to the designs, highlighting the Maison's intricate craftsmanship.
